California FreshSaver, via ONTrac, is the newest CAFG&S door-to-door program that offers pick-up at the shipper's door and delivers in California, Nevada and Arizona overnight to your customer's location by 10:30am the next day. Guaranteed! (Remote areas slightly later)

• SERVICE: Complete overnight door-to-door services.
• SHIP DAYS: Monday through Friday. Saturday delivery available.
• SIZE LIMITS: Any size box up to 100 linear inches and/or 80 pounds. For larger shipments      please contact the CAFG&S office.
• PRICES: Call CAFG&S for exclusive, discounted pricing.
• MINIMUMS: None
• BILLING: Pre-paid, billed by CAFG&S.

CAFG&S - FEDEX PROGRAM


When it comes to shipping fresh flowers overnight, there is no other freight program available to the floral industry that compares to the CAFG&S FedEx program. Our custom contract is specifically designed to cater to the very specialized needs of the floral industry, and simply stated, it is an extraordinary service.

• RATES: Our contract features one of the best domestic and international rate packages available for flower freight, anywhere. Our new zone pricing is discounted over 58% off regular standard FedEx rates.

• DIM FACTOR: Our contract features a high Dimensional Factor, (DIM), designed to enable our members to price their shipments closer to actual weight, rather than size or dimensional weight. This benefit substantially lowers shipping costs for our members and customers.

• CUSTOM FEATURES: We have negotiated custom features designed specifically for our members needs such as specialized billing, automated service, and dedicated FedEx support/service personnel available to quickly respond to our members needs. UPS Next Day Air Program Customer Benefits

Cold Chain Link In limited areas Refrigeration service for Next Day Air shipments from 11Am up to 6 Pm which includes span from drop off to finvement to San Jose Airport.  UPS is the only company providing this Cold Chain solution.  (Real mofrigeration service is Monday through Thursday).

Consolidation Cold Chain Drop Off Time Flexible Drop off Window from 11Am to 3Pm for Next Day shipments for Watsonville shippers.

Consolidation Cold Chain Direct to SJ Airport Dedicated Driver, that is solely responsible for loading your packages in a refrigerated trailer. UPS provides direct transportation to SJ airport without requiring consolidation and additional handling like other carriers. This service is intended to reduce damages and improve quality to your customers.

CAFG&S supports UPS Cold Chain Program UPS “Cold Chain” solution has been approved and supported by the California Association of Flower Growers & Shippers

Pass Through Rates for members Pass through rates and billing is available for CAFG&S members to members within the CAFG&S Association.

3rd Party Drop Ship Rates are Extended to Members 3rd party drop shipping rates are available within the 50 U.S States.  Regular UPS service would apply to those locations not participating in the Cold Chain service area.

Saturday Delivery Service Friday pickup service at your location is available for Saturday Delivery by calling UPS  at 1-800-pickUPS.

Hold for Pickup Service UPS Hold for Pickup service is available for morning pickup by 8:30 Am to over 1000 UPS hubs at no extra cost.  There are also approx. 5000 UPS stores that are available for consignee pickup.  Please call for specific details about this service

Data Recording Devices used for Quality UPS is providing a Data Recording Device service that is available for those growers that are concerned about heat and want quality assurance to track inside carton temperatures.

Shipping Systems UPS will be providing free technology for all Watsonville Growers that include internet shipping via Campus-Ship, Worldship Software and hardware if applicable along with integration services.

LTL Refrigeration to 11 Western States UPS is now offering Refrigerated LTL ground service to the 11 western states.  Please call for details.

Capacity Benefits UPS will be providing guaranteed space for your flowers during Peak Season holidays as a participant in the UPS program.  Space is guaranteed for participating members for customers that pre-arrange volume commitments.

LTL and TL Growth Opportunities As a participating member of the “Cold Chain Solution” UPS is interviewing customers that have interest to ship ground refrigeration to the East Coast which include services such as small package, LTL and truckload.  Please call if you’re interested in discussing these options.
